Poem #3

Dusk has my breath baited,
As I await the light.
When my heart will be flying,
Past and future out of sight.

Morning breaks, and I am climbing,
The peak is all I see.
My pace dependent on the tracks laid,
Fluctuating steadily.

The sun is high but not for long,
My heart leaps to my cap.
Downward, downward, rushing faster,
My insides on my lap.

Darkness spreading, I’m still soaring,
My high coming to an end.
These thrills have me so addicted.
Another day around the bend.

Ever since I was a child,
I’d wait with anticipation.
Till the moment I’d be riding upon,
A roller-coaster exhilaration.

keep on riding- that is what life is about. Just don't let yourself drop when the ride is over.

I am nobody, but you are impressive, energy and mind, what more could one need,

but youth. And you have that, my, I could envy you, but I'm okay.

Maybe what you said is true, why should I? Can you tell me that?

Thanks for your visit, I will read more of your work with pleasure, Thanks.
